How the System Works
The filter bag housing operates on a simple but highly effective principle.
The Process Flow
Step 1: Liquid Entry
The unfiltered liquid enters the housing through the inlet port. The flow is directed into the housing chamber where the filter bag is installed.
Step 2: Bag Filtration
The liquid passes through the filter bag from the inside to the outside (or vice versa, depending on the design). The filter bag media traps suspended particles and contaminants. The bag's large surface area and depth loading characteristics provide high dirt-holding capacity.
Step 3: Clean Liquid Exit
The filtered liquid exits the housing through the outlet port. A support basket holds the bag in place and prevents collapse under pressure.
Step 4: Contaminant Retention
As filtration continues, contaminants accumulate inside the filter bag (or outside, depending on flow direction). The bag's high dirt-holding capacity allows extended service life between change-outs.
Step 5: Bag Change-Out
When the bag becomes loaded with contaminants, the housing is opened via the quick-opening closure system. The spent bag is removed and replaced with a fresh one, and the housing is closed and returned to service.
The housing is equipped with vent and drain ports for complete drainage and pressure relief during maintenance. Optional magnetic separators and other accessories can be integrated for enhanced performance.
