Description
lamella clarifier for Stormwater & Runoff Treatment – Effective Solids Removal for Construction Sites & Urban Drainage
WHAT IS LAMELLA CLARIFIER
Stormwater runoff from construction sites, urban areas, and industrial facilities carries large quantities of suspended solids, sand, silt, and sediment. This runoff can be highly turbid, exceeding discharge permit limits and causing environmental damage to receiving water bodies. Regulatory agencies require effective sediment control to protect streams, rivers, and lakes.
Traditional sediment basins require large land areas and do not always meet stringent discharge requirements. Dewatering operations often struggle to maintain compliance during heavy rainfall events.
The DAGYEE Lamella Clarifier for Stormwater & Runoff Treatment provides a compact, highly efficient solution for removing suspended solids from runoff and construction site dewatering. Its small footprint fits into tight urban spaces and construction sites. The modular, rapid-deployment design allows quick setup and relocation as projects progress. The system consistently produces clear effluent that meets discharge permit standards.
HOW DOES LAMELLA CLARIFIER WORKS

Step 1: Inflow from Runoff Collection
Stormwater or dewatering water enters the clarifier through a distribution system. A coarse screen removes large debris such as rocks, sticks, and trash.
Step 2: Optional Flocculation
For fine clays and silts that do not settle quickly, an optional flocculation system can be added. Polymer is injected and mixed with the runoff to form larger, heavier flocs that settle effectively.
Step 3: Upward Flow Through Plate Pack
The water flows upward between the inclined plates. The compact design provides a large effective settling area within a small footprint. Sand, silt, and sediment settle onto the plate surfaces.
Step 4: Sludge Collection
Settled solids slide down the plates and accumulate in the sludge hopper. The concentrated sludge can be removed periodically for disposal.
Step 5: Clarified Effluent
The clear water overflows into a discharge line or storage tank. The effluent clarity consistently meets permit requirements.
