    2. Working Principle


    Thickening Stage: Sludge mixes with flocculant in the mixing tank to form flocs, which enter the chamber formed by the screw shaft and stacked rings.

    Dewatering Stage: The screw shaft rotates slowly, pushing sludge forward. As the chamber volume decreases, pressure builds, forcing water out through the gaps between moving and fixed rings while solids form a cake and discharge.

    Self-Cleaning Stage: As the screw rotates, relative motion between moving and fixed rings automatically cleans the filter gaps, preventing clogging without frequent manual cleaning.

    Selection Guide:

    • Lower inlet concentration requires larger capacity models
    • Higher concentration (>20g/L) allows smaller models
    • For uncertain sludge types, provide samples for lab testing
