HOW DOES LAMELLA CLARIFIER WORKS

The lamella clarifier operates on the principle of inclined plate sedimentation, where wastewater enters through a specially designed distribution system and flows upward between parallel inclined plates. As the water moves through the plate pack, suspended solids settle onto the plate surfaces due to gravity. The settled solids then slide down the inclined plates into a sludge collection hopper, while clarified water exits from the top of the unit.
