Description
DAGYEE Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Equipment

1.Why Choose DAGYEE Screw Press?
Let me ask you something.
Are you tired of fixing your dewatering equipment more than you run it?
Because that's what we hear from most customers before they switch to us.
One guy ran a belt press. Said he spent half his shift unclogging spray nozzles and tracking belts. The other half? Washing down the floor.
Another guy had a centrifuge. Said you couldn't stand next to it without earplugs. And the power meter spun like a fan. Plus when the bearings went – and they always go – it cost him a month's profit.
So yeah. There's a reason people look for something else.
We make screw presses. Not because it's trendy. Because it solves the stuff that actually makes your job harder.
-
No clogging. The rings clean themselves.
-
No screaming noise. Runs under 65 dB.
-
No huge power bill. Uses 1/10 the power of a centrifuge.
-
No constant babysitting. Runs 24/7 by itself.
We're not the biggest name. We know that. But the people who buy from us? They stay. Because the machine works. And when they call, we pick up.
That's the DAGYEE difference. Nothing fancy. Just a machine that doesn't fight you.
2. Working Principle
Here's what happens inside.
You've got a screw. Looks like a big auger. It turns slowly inside a cylinder made of two kinds of rings – fixed rings and moving rings stacked together.
Sludge goes in one end.
The screw pushes it forward. As it moves, the space gets tighter and tighter. Water gets squeezed out through the tiny gaps between the rings.
Now here's the smart part.
The moving rings shift a little bit with every turn. That movement constantly cleans the gaps. So nothing gets stuck. No clogging. No high-pressure water blasting all day.
What comes out the other end is cake – not bone dry, but dry enough to truck, burn, or compost. Usually 15% to 30% solids.
No belts. No high-speed spinning. No filter cloths to replace. Just a screw turning slowly.
You can leave it running all night. It doesn't care.

3. Key Advantages
I'll keep this short. You don't need 50 bullet points.
1. It doesn't clog.
Oily sludge. Greasy sludge. Fibrous sludge. Doesn't matter. The moving rings scrape themselves clean. Belt presses choke on this stuff. Ours doesn't.
2. Your power bill drops.
Our 2.2 kW machine does what a 22 kW centrifuge does. Run that 24/7 for a year. You do the math.
3. You can talk next to it.
Under 65 dB. No earplugs. No yelling.
4. It runs alone.
Turn it on Monday. Check it Friday. It'll run all week without you.
5. Almost no water needed.
Belt presses spray constantly. We don't. Occasional rinse. That's it.
6. Maintenance is easy.
Change gear oil once a year. Grease bearings sometimes. Done.
7. Small footprint.
Fits where belt presses and centrifuges won't.
8. Safe.
Low speed. No pinch points. No high-voltage surprises.
9. Handles whatever your sludge does.
Thick, thin, dirty, clean – it adjusts. You don't have to recalibrate every time something changes upstream.
10. We answer the phone.
Real people. No ticket system that replies three days later.

5. Comparison with Traditional Equipment
| Parameter | Belt filter press | Plate and Frame Press | Centrifuge | Screw Press |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Energy Consumption | High | Higher | Highest | Lowest |
| Footprint | Large | Large | Medium | Small |
| Automation Level | Moderate | Low | High | High |

Up to 70% less energy than centrifuges
Minimal wash water required
50% smaller footprint
24/7 unattended running
What this means for you:
-
Want the driest cake possible? Get a centrifuge. But budget for power and repairs.
-
Have almost no budget upfront? Get a belt press. But plan for labor and water.
-
Want the lowest total cost and least headache? Get our screw press.

6. Selection & Maintenance
How to pick the right model – don't guess
Here's what we need to know:
-
What kind of sludge? (municipal, food, chemical, farm, etc.)
-
How much flow? (m³ per hour or gallons per minute)
-
How thick is it going in? (% solids or grams per liter)
Send us that info. Better yet – send us a sludge sample.
We'll run it on our test machine and tell you exactly which model works. Free. No obligation. No hidden "consulting fee".
We do this because we want you to buy the right machine the first time. Not upsell you on something too big. Not undersell you on something that won't work.
Quick sizing rule:
Take your dry solids per hour. Pick a model rated for at least 1.5 times that number.
Example: 200 kg/hour dry solids → DAG-401 or bigger.
Maintenance – what you actually have to do
Not much. Really.
Daily (5 minutes)
-
Walk by. Listen. Look for leaks.
Weekly (15 minutes)
-
Check chemical mix tank if you're using polymer.
Monthly (30 minutes)
-
Check gearbox oil.
-
Grease bearings (if they have fittings).
Yearly (2 hours)
-
Change gearbox oil.
-
Quick inspection of rings.
What wears out and when:
-
Seals – 2 to 3 years
-
Rings – 5 to 8 years
-
Bearings – 5 to 10 years
-
Screw shaft – 10+ years
Spare parts we suggest keeping:
-
One set of shaft seals
-
One relay for the control panel
That's it. No filter cloths to stock. No belts to keep. No spray nozzles to buy by the dozen.

7. Applications
| Industry | Applications |
|---|---|
| Municipal Wastewater | Municipal sludge dewatering |
| Food Processing | Soybean, starch, juice, brewery wastewater sludge |
| Slaughterhouse & Farming | Livestock and poultry slaughter, farming wastewater sludge |
| Textile & Dyeing | Printing and dyeing sludge, pulp recovery |
| Paper Industry | Paper sludge, fiber recovery |
| Chemical & Pharmaceutical | Chemical sludge, pharmaceutical wastewater sludge |
Good fit if:
-
Your sludge is organic or biological
-
Incoming solids: 0.2% to 8%
-
Flow: 1 to 50 m³/h
-
You want low power and low labor
Not a good fit for:
-
Sand and grit (too abrasive)
-
Very thin sludge under 0.2% (needs thickening first)
-
Very high flow over 50 m³/h (would need multiple units)
Not sure? Send us a sample. We'll test it and tell you straight.
8.Installation & Operation
What you need to install
Nothing special.
-
Level floor (no special foundation needed)
-
About 1 meter clearance around the machine
